Dr Rao is a Consultant Sport & Exercise Medicine Physician and Fellow of the Australasian College of Sports Physicians and, the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine Royal College of Physicians of London and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. 

His special areas of interest include:

• Management of acute and chronic M/S injuries.

• Management of Knee, Shoulder, Elbow, Groin and Ankle problems

• Sports specific injuries including, Football, Cricket, Golf, Basketball and Netball.

• Diagnosis and treatment of Osteoarthritis

• Tendinopathy

• Podiatric disorders

Billing

All billing is done through Medicare except for orthotic prescription, where private health funds are applicable.

Fees

Consultation fees are available on request. Concessional rates apply to pensioners. 

Workers Compensation 

Dr Rao is an Approved Medical Specialist for WorkCover WA and is available for consultation and assessment of Workers Compensation or MVA injuries with an appropriate GP referral.

Imaging and Guided Injections

Dr Rao is accredited for ultrasound imaging and guided injections including corticosteroid, PRP, viscosupplements (Synvisc) and autologous tenocytes. 

Podiatry

Consultation is available for Biomechanical assessment including visual and computerised gait analysis. 

Orthotic prescriptions are available via consultation with Dr Rao.
